Aurélie is a phenomenal teacher. It has been wonderful taking one on one classes with her over the past year in preparation for the C1 DALF exam. It was reassuring and invaluable to learn from an accredited examiner-corrector, who could explain the C1 methodology and identify ways to elevate and refine my skills. I have improved immeasurably thanks to her guidance. Indeed, each class was engaging, fun and highly enriching. I am so grateful to Aurélie for all her assistance and couldn’t recommend French Rêve more to anyone looking to improve their French or prepare for an exam.

Aurelie tutored me in IB French SL. She is very experienced in teaching French and Aurelie makes understanding the complicated grammar easy. She is also an expert at the IB curriculum, which was invaluable in helping me prepare for my speaking and writing exams. Aurelie clearly puts a lot of effort into preparing the lesson and is completely dedicated to making sure you do well. She is all round an amazing tutor who brings energy and positivity to every lesson to make learning French enjoyable and not just a chore. I had a wonderful experience taking French lessons with Aurelie for about a year online in a group. She is a warm and engaging teacher who is always well prepared with engaging content. Our classes were over Zoom and it worked really well because she uses tools to facilitate the online class. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to do French lessons, cultural classes or conversation classes. She is a gem.

Aurelie is an absolutely incredible teacher. Our classes during year 11 and 12 helped me immensely with my preparations for the HSC French Continuers Course and the HSC French Extension Course. She is extremely dedicated to her teaching and goes above and beyond every lesson. Her passion for French language and culture made every one of our classes so fulfilling and enjoyable.

Aurelie has been teaching me French for 13 years now, and is easily the best teacher I’ve ever had. Not only is she incredibly enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable about French language and culture, but she is deeply invested in my success in French.

Aurelie has a wonderful ability to make the French language accessible and breaks down complex French grammar into memorable, bite-sized pieces of information. She is patient and encouraging. She prepares rigorously for each class, which are well structured and skillfully tailored to my interests.

Aurelie knows both the HSC and DELF exams inside-out, and replicated the assessment format throughout our classes (i.e. structured the class by speaking, listening and writing sections). She gave me constructive feedback and targeted classes to the areas I struggled with.

Aurelie doesn’t just want me to succeed in French, she wants to ensure I enjoy class and share her passion for French language and culture. Her classes are always fun, with laughter and good conversation, but she prepared me thoroughly for the exams.

Aurelie is an excellent teacher – the complete package – an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with a vast knowledge of french culture and current affairs. She has an extensive range of tuition styles and techniques to constantly engage students, extend your ability to speak, read and write as needed in French.

Aurelie is nothing short of a dynamo and has proved herself to be very capable teaching people of all ages and ability. She began teaching my daughters when they were 8 and 10 before we went to live in France for six months. She tutored them as HSC students and then as university students (though not studying uni French) assisting them to pass the B2 and C1 exams which enabled them to study at university level in french in France. She has worked out how to make it fun for young people and to motivate them to do their very best. My youngest often said “I have to study – Aurelie puts so much into our lessons I cant let her down”.

As an adult learner I find her in person and online teaching format and tools inspiring and particularly conducive to learning. She knows how to make a class interesting, keeping you constantly engaged particularly through material relating to your personal interests. She also provides a vast amount of material for after class study.

Our family has benefited enormously from Aurelie’s tuition and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I cant imagine you could find a better teacher!

Aurelie is a gem… A very unique teacher. Don’t spread the word. My husband and I are still students after 3 years of learning face-to-face and then, switching online. We don’t want to share her!

My experience: My husband and I heard about Aurelie, word-to-mouth, by relatives. Having learned a bit of Italian together before, we wanted to learn French as a hobby, to travel and because French gastronomy! Aurelie didn’t disappoint. On the contrary, she went beyond our expectations ! It has been a wonderful cultural journey ! We particularly love the focus on speaking skills and culture, and how she can make French grammar easy to understand and fun to practice through conversation. Who would have thought that French grammar could be easy and fun ? During Covid lockdowns, Aurelie was our breath of fresh air with her sense of humour and her contagious laughter. Shhh… Don’t tell anyone…

Before I met Aurelie, I had an expatriation project: becoming fluent to move to France with my French partner by 2020. Aurelie made this possible! We have now been happily living in Paris since December 2019. I continued to take online classes with Aurelie during Covid, just for fun and to have the opportunity to speak about current affairs with a real and knowledgeable French teacher! She couldn’t have chosen a better name for her school: “French Reve” – She made mine come true!

My experience: As a beginner, back in 2015, I enrolled in different courses at various schools around Sydney (Australia). I was struggling and felt I was wasting my time and money. I was constantly thinking in English and translating into “approximate” French. My brain kept freezing every time I had to speak. I couldn’t find my words and felt increasingly dumb not being able to retain French and to use it properly… A work colleague told me she knew an amazing French teacher who helped her successfully pass the DELF B1, and also tutored her son through to the end of his final high school year (he aced his French continuers and French Extension exams !) I decided to give it a try and, 5 years later, I live in Paris and I feel at ease in society.
