Student Enrolment and Tuition Terms and Conditions
1) Tuition resources and material; Mode of Delivery; Initial Assessments :
1.1 All tuition includes free access to a private learning blog with tailored learning material and resources to enhance language learning and practice.
1.2 Lessons are facilitated online, via Zoom.
3.2 Your teacher will proceed with an initial level assessment during the first class in order to design a tailored program based on your starting level, your specific needs, and your learning objectives.
2) Class formation and Lesson duration :
2.1 Duo, Trio and Group learning classes are formed on a ‘’bring your own group’’ basis.
2.2 For 1:1 tuition, the duration of all lessons can be 1.0 hour (minimum), 1.5 hours, 2.0 hours, or more than 2.0 hours; the duration of each lesson is based on student preferences and upon schedule availability of both the teacher and the student.
2.3 For Duo, Trio and Group tuition, the duration of all lessons can be 1.5 hours (minimum), 2.0 hours, or more than 2.0 hours; the duration of each lesson is based on students’ preferences and upon schedule availability of the teacher and all students in the group.
3) Tuition fees and payment :
3.1 Fees are in Australian dollars (AUD currency).
3.2 Fees are prepaid, billed in packs of 6 hours, and must be received as cleared funds in full at least 2 working days prior to the first lesson of each pack.
3.3 Fees are payable by way of internet banking transfer or branch deposit; banking details will be provided during the enrolment confirmation process.
3.4 Prepaid packs are valid for 12 months from the date of receipt of payment.
4) Scheduling and confirmation of sessions :
4.1 Tutoring sessions will need to be booked and confirmed monthly in advance to support effective lesson planning for both the teacher and the student(s).
4.2 If you are unavailable for a lesson (due to holidays, personal or professional reasons), please inform French Reve in writing (by email at info@frenchreve.com) before the start of the new month so that we can rearrange your schedule with you. Once the schedule is validated, it will set the minimum number of hours to be applied to your account balance during the month.
4.3 Occasional changes to the validated schedule may be possible free of charge subject to (a) teacher availability, (b) providing this occurs within the same month, and (c) such changes are mutually agreed to by both teacher and student(s) at least 24 hours prior to the commencement time of lesson(s) for which schedule changes are requested. Such changes that are mutually agreed to will be made free of charge.
4.4 Additional sessions may be booked during the month, subject to availability in the teacher’s schedule.
5) Cancellations and refund requests :
4.1 In case of illness requiring cancellation of a lesson, at the discretion of French Reve the lesson will not be applied to your prepaid account credit balance if you have emailed a suitably relevant medical certificate to us.
4.2 Requests for postponements or cancellations with less than 24-hours’ notice given and received in writing, will result in the tuition fee being applied to your account balance for ‘’no show’’ or ’’late cancellation’’.
4.3 Refunds for the remainder of prepaid credit may be available at the discretion of French Reve, upon request in writing (by email at info@frenchreve.com), at least 24 hours prior to your next scheduled class and within 12 months of the initial prepayment. Approved refunds for verified prepaid account credit balances will be processed in a timely manner, usually with the next Accounts Payable payment run.
5) Other :
5.1 Your enrolment details are collected for the sole purpose of enabling communication between French Reve / your teacher and you / your parent, guardian. We value and respect your privacy.
